Byron starts production in GoM find

SYDNEY, October 17, 2018 – Byron Energy has brought well F2 in the SM71 licence in the US section of the Gulf of Mexico on stream, the Australian company announced on Wednesday.
The well encountered about 58 metres of net oil deposits last December.
“The well is currently flowing at an unstabilised rate of 150-200 bopd and we expect the well to continue to unload and stabilise over the next couple of weeks,” the company statement added.
Byron is the operator of the block with a 50% interest, and partner Otto Energy holds 50%.
