
Egypt signs billion-dollar E&P deal
CAIRO, September 17, 2018 – Egypt has signed an upstream deal with Shell and Petronas worth around USD 1 billion, local and international media reported over the weekend.
The agreement covers eight wells in the West Nile Delta region, Reuters reported.
The country also struck a separate deal worth USD 10 million with Kuwait Energy, Rockhopper and Dover Corporation for the drilling of four wells in the Western Desert, Egypt’s Daily News reported.
