Exploration contract signed in Timor-Leste

DILI, December 10, 2021 – Timor-Leste’s NOC Timor Gap has signed a PSC with the local regulatory authority, National Authority of Petroleum and Minerals’ President Florentino Soares Ferreira announced on LinkedIn on Wednesday.
The contract stipulates a minimum amount of exploration works on the licence in the Pualaca area.
The permit was awarded on December 7, 2021.
“Timor Resources and Timor Gap are currently drilling the onshore block in the Suai area southwest of Timor-Leste,” said Ferreira. “This was the first well drilled after 50 years of no exploration activities onshore Timor-Leste.”
