Ghana accuses Siemens of local content violations
ACCRA, September 3, 2018 – Ghana’s Petroleum Commission has accused Siemens of local content violations, local media reported Friday.
The institution has cited the company for breaches including failure to operate with a local bank, not having a technology transfer plan in place and employing seven expatriates without the necessary work permits, Ghana Web reported.
The Petroleum Commission has invited the company to meet to resolve the issues.
Last month, the Petroleum Commission reported that many oil and gas joint ventures in the country do not comply with the legal requirements for the partnerships.
