KBR lands Chevron Indonesia gig

HOUSTON, April 20, 2017 – KBR late on Wednesday said it had been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction contract by Chevron for work at the latter’s Sumatra fields.

 

The five year contract, which will be executed through its joint venture with local entity Singgar Mulia Engineering Consultants, will the contractor carry out EPC jobs on hydrocarbon production surface facilities in the Minas, Duri and Dumai fields.

The scope of KBR’s contract includes engineering design and construction management, as well as portfolio management. The company will also be committing to training programmes for the local community.

“The consortium will provide in-country services to manage daily operational activities for Chevron’s production facilities; including providing local and global personnel, tools and procedures, best work practices and processes, as well as establishing and maintaining infrastructure and providing health, safety, environment and training to the work force,” KBR said in a press statement.
