Kuwait and Saudi Arabia partner on gasfield

RIYADH, March 23, 2022 – Kuwait and Saudi Arabia have signed an agreement to begin development of the shared Durra gasfield, NOC Kuwait Petroleum Corporation announced on Monday.
Production from the field is expected to hit 28.3 mcm (1 bcf) and 84,000 barrels of condensate per day .
The project will involve both Saudi Arabia’s Aramco Gulf Operations Company and Kuwait Gulf Oil Company, with output shared equally between the two countries.
Both nations are looking to up gas production to fulfil increases in local consumption.
