McDermott lands FEED contract in Trinidad

PORT OF SPAIN, March 29, 2023 – McDermott International has signed a FEED contract with Shell for works on the Manatee gas development project, the global engineering and construction company announced on Tuesday.
The scope of the deal involves building a wellhead platform, export pipeline system, shore approach, midstream pipeline and onshore control room.
The 48.4-square-kilometre Manatee field is located in water depths of 91 metres next to the maritime Venezuelan border.
The two markets have agreed to develop the two portions of the Loren-Manatee play independently.
Shell operates the Manatee field with a 100% stake under a 25-year contract.
Initial production at the site is expected to be around 9.91 mcm (350 mcf) per day and ramp up to 19.8 mcm (700 mcf) per day.
Cost of the FEED contract was not disclosed.
