NIOC qualifies foreign players for Iran E&P jobs

TEHRAN, January 2, 2017 – National Iranian Oil Company has unveiled its list of close to 30 international exploration and production companies eligible for work in Iran, the Ministry of Petroleum’s information portal, Shana, said on Monday.

 

The foreign entities, 29 in total, will be invited to take part in future tenders for upstream work in Iran. They hail from a variety of countries, including Germany, Russia and China. Among the qualified companies are China National Petroleum Corporation, Eni, Gazprom, Lukoil, Petronas, Shell and Total.

Other major names include Korea Gas Corporation, Japan Petroleum Exploration, Mitsui, Maersk, OMV, ONGC Videsh and Pertamina. Finally, NIOC also made mention of Schlumberger and Cespa of Spain.
