State-owned Pemex has given Dutch multinational survey company Fugro $13 million as an extension to a geophysical and geotechnical contract to conduct survey work off the coast of Mexico.

Pemex awards Fugro 13-million extension

MEXICO CITY, October 6, 2015 – Pemex has granted Dutch multinational surveying company Fugro a $13-million extension to a $31.5-million geophysical and geotechnical contract for work off the coast of Mexico.

 

Under the extension of the contract first awarded in September 2014, geophysical and geotechnical studies will be conducted in the Bay of Campeche and across deepwater sections of the Perdido region.

Works include high-resolution surveys for deepwater installations, such as platforms, pipelines and jack-up rigs and are planned to start this month, with consulting to continue throughout 2016.
