Petrobras brings Búzios FPSO on line

RIO DE JANEIRO, November 13, 2018 – Brazilian NOC Petrobras has started producing from the P-75 FPSO at its pre-salt Búzios field in the Santos Basin, the company said in a Monday press statement.

 

Installed in water depths of 2,000 metres, P-75 can produce 150,000 bopd and 6 mcm (212 mcf) of gas per day through 10 wells. Additionally, the vessel will be connected to seven injector wells.

P-75 is the second FPSO to come on line at Búzios, and two more similar vessels are to become operational in H1 2019. A fifth FPSO with a daily production capacity of 180,000 bopd and 6 mcm (212 mcf) per day is expected to start up in late 2021 or early 2022, Upstream Online reported.
