Petrobras launches lease of fertiliser assets

RIO DE JANEIRO, January 11, 2019 – State-owned Petrobras has begun the prequalification process to lease fertiliser assets in the northeast of Brazil, local media reported Thursday.
The NOC aims to find operators for the 1,300-tonne-per-day Fafen BA nitrogen fertiliser plant in Bahia state, as well as the Fafen-SE facility in Sergipe, which is capable of producing 1,800 tonnes of urea per day, local newspaper Valor Econômico said.
Along with the plants, Petrobras will lease urea and ammonia terminals at the Port of Aratu, also located in Bahia state.
