Petronas loads first FLNG cargo
KUALA LUMPUR, April 3, 2017 – Malaysia’s Petronas said on Monday that it had loaded the world’s first cargo produced from a floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) production unit.
The shipment was loaded on April 1 from the Satu FLNG off the coast of Bintulu in the east of the country onto LNG carrier Seri Camellia, the company said in a statement quoted by Reuters.
“This successful first cargo milestone further bolsters our reputation as a reliable and leading global LNG player and one-stop LNG solutions provider,” CEO Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin said.
It is thought that the shipment’s destination is South Korea, Reuters added.
