Petronas to supply LNG to India

KUALA LUMPUR, February 22, 2018 – Petronas has agreed to supply LNG to a subsidiary of India’s Hiranandani Group, international media reported on Thursday.
It is the Malaysian NOC’s first term contract for LNG sales to India, Reuters reported. No information about the agreement’s value or the quantities of LNG to be supplied was provided.
India is seeking to increase the share of natural gas in the total energy it consumes to 15% by 2022, the report added.
