SAN DONATO MILANESE, April 3, 2023 – Saipem has been awarded five new EPCI and FEED contracts worth around USD 650 million for offshore work in Angola, Trinidad and Tobago, the UK and Saudi Arabia, the Italian engineering giant announced on Monday.

Works include EPCI of rigid pipe-to-pipe flowlines and associated structures for Azule Energy’s deepwater Agogo field development project in Angola.

The development is located around 180 kilometres offshore Angola and 20 kilometres west of the N’Goma FPSO.

The second contract involves decommissioning the upper jacket at the Heather platform in the UK’s North Sea for British E&P company EnQuest.

The project is located 460 kilometres offshore Aberdeen, Scotland, and will utilise the company’s Saipem 7000 semi-submersible crane vessel.

A third contract with Saudi Aramco will see the engineering firm develop offshore EPCI of a platform topside and associated subsea flexible, umbilical and cable systems.

Additionally, Saipem was awarded a FEED contract for Shell’s Manatee natural gas field in Trinidad and Tobago located next to the border with Venezuela.

In March 2023, engineering giant McDermott also signed a FEED contract for the Trinidadian project.

The final FEED contract was awarded to Saipem along with partners PT Tripatra Engineers and Constructors and Daewoo Engineering & Construction Company to develop the Papua LNG project in Papua New Guinea.
