Siemens Energy joins Eaton to accelerate modular data centre builds
MUNICH, June 3, 2025 – Siemens Energy and power solutions player Eaton will collaborate to fast-track data centre construction with integrated onsite power systems to meet growing global demand for AI and cloud computing, the companies said on Tuesday.
The partnership introduces a modular, grid-independent approach combining Siemens Energy’s scalable 500-MW gas turbine-based power plants with Eaton’s electrical distribution and support infrastructure. Siemens Energy’s systems feature redundancy, battery storage and potential for future hydrogen use, aiming to reduce CO2 emissions by around 50% and eliminate the need for backup diesel generators. Eaton contributes switchgear, UPS, busways and skidded modular solutions for rapid deployment.
“Our approach offers data centre owners and developers the opportunity to build capacity and bring it online fast in any location where they have land available that is close to gas, water and fibre,” Eaton global segment leader for data centres Cyrille Brisson said.
Eaton is a global intelligent power management company providing electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power solutions. Its services span data centres, utilities, industrial operations and transportation, with a focus on sustainability, resilience and digital intelligence.
“We offer hyperscalers, co-locators and investors a unique package, enabling them to reduce the time-to-market by up to two years in many places,” Siemens Energy global head of sales Andreas Pistauer said.
