TGS to begin seismic survey offshore Egypt

CAIRO, April 7, 2022 – TGS has announced it will provide a second multi-client 3D seismic survey in Egypt’s Red Sea, the Norwegian energy data and analytics company announced on Wednesday.
The new seismic acquisition for Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and state-run South Valley Egyptian Petroleum Holding Company will be done in partnership with Schlumberger and cover a minimum area of 5,000 square kilometres.
It is expected to begin in April 2022 with final assessments delivered in mid-2023 before the region’s future licence rounds.
