SPETCO is a Kuwaiti engineering company that supplies products and services to the hydrocarbons sector, primarily in the upstream segment. The company specialises in EPC and build-own-operate-transfer projects where it designs, constructs, commissions and operates oil and gas facilities.

The company’s portfolio of services includes:

• Well-production testing products and services such as separator and multiphase metering units, and gas/oil ratio and rig testing
• Artificial lift equipment and services, including sucker rod, linear and submersible pumps, beam gas compressors and cavity pumping systems
• Well-diagnostics services such as fluid level analyses, pressure transient services and dynamometer services
• Wellhead and well completion offerings, including EFT wellhead systems, corrosion mitigation and downhole tubular completion services

SPETCO is developing capabilities to offer slickline and coiled tubing services. The company owns facilities in the Mina Abdullah industrial area, where it fabricates a range of equipment for its EPC operations, as well as custom designs for clients. Installations include an automated pipe fabrication facility with dual automated lines and a separate production line equipped with cutting, bevelling, welding and sundry handling equipment.

Through established partnerships with leading international manufacturers, SPETCO can also conduct a wide range of procurement services for equipment, replacement parts and supplies.

SPETCO holds approximately a 60% share of Kuwait’s oilfield services market. The company has carried out numerous projects for Kuwait Oil Company and Kuwait Gulf Oil Company, including extensive work on JPF-3 and JPF-4 in North Kuwait and in the Wafra Joint Operations. SPETCO equipment has been deployed at JPF-4 since January 2024, yielding 40,000 bopd, and the company has 860 sucker rod pump units deployed in Wafra and KOC fields.
