Weatherford International is a global engineering company that provides equipment and services to the energy and industrial sectors.

The NASDAQ-listed company’s customers include national oil companies, international and independent oil and natural gas companies, and new energy companies. Weatherford has 345 operating locations in around 75 countries.

The company organises its activities under three operating segments:

  • Drilling and evaluation
  • Well construction and completion
  • Production and intervention

The drilling and evaluation segment offers services such as managed pressure drilling, directional drilling, measurement-while-drilling, wireline services, well intervention and remediation, and a range of downhole equipment.

The well construction and completion segment supplies products and services to ensure integrity over the life cycle of wells. Primary offerings are tubular running services, completions, liner hangers, well services and cementation products and specialised equipment such as plugs, float and torque-and-drag reduction technology.

Production and intervention offerings relate to responsible well management and boosting productivity. They include drilling tools, intervention services, artificial lift systems, subsea equipment for deep and ultra-deep operations, and pressure pumping, as well as software and data products for monitoring and control.
