
Kuwait and Saudi Arabia move to develop the Durra gasfield
KUWAIT CITY, December 12, 2022 – Saudi Aramco Gulf Operations Company has signed an MoU with Kuwait Gulf Oil Company to develop the Durra gasfield, Reuters reported on Sunday.
The project is expected to produce 28.3 mcm (1 bcf) of gas and 84,000 barrels of liquified gas per day.
The joint Durra gasfield is shared by Iran, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
Output from the project will be split between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
The agreement is seen as an extension of a partnership signed in March 2022 to develop the asset.
