Chevron hands out Gorgon LNG maintenance contract

SYDNEY, July 16, 2021 – Chevron has awarded a USD 744-million maintenance contract to Ventia for its Gorgon LNG gas project in Australia.

 

The 10-year contract will see Ventia providing maintenance and brownfield works with expected revenues of around USD 100 million, the Australian contractor revealed on Wednesday.

The Gorgon liquefaction project is located on Barrow Island, Western Australia, and has a capacity of 15.6 million tonnes per year. Feedstock is supplied by the offshore Gorgon and Jansz-lo fields. The project is owned by a joint venture between Chevron, ExxonMobil, Shell, Osaka Gas, Tokyo Gas and Chubu Electric power.
