Mexico’s HST and CLH win midstream award
MEXICO CITY, March 14, 2019 – CLH and Hydrocarbon Storage Terminal (HST) have been awarded the TOGY Mexico 2019 Midstream Partnership Project of the Year award.
TOGY Mexico delivered the award to HST CEO Carlos Zamora and COO Edgar Gutierrez on February 28 in Mexico City. This award recognises the companies’ ongoing efforts to develop and operate a new storage facility in the Valley of Mexico metropolitan area.
The new terminal is expected to begin operations in 2020 with a storage capacity of approximately 100,000 cubic metres. Located in a strategic zone accessible by rail, highway and pipelines, the facility will help meet the growing need for petroleum products in one of Mexico’s highest-demand areas.
In July 2018, Spain’s CLH signed an agreement with HST to acquire 60% of the capital in the Mexican company. The deal consolidated the companies’ partnership and aims to capitalise on emerging midstream opportunities in Mexico.
