Wood Group secures offshore contract from Pemex

MEXICO CITY, August 11, 2015 – UK-based multinational Wood Group announced on Tuesday that it had been awarded a $28-million contract with Mexican national oil company Pemex subsidiary Pemex Procurement International.

Under the three-year contract, Wood Group entities Wood Group Kenny and Wood Group Mustang will provide a number of deepwater and shallow-water engineering services. The scope of the work will include the engineering of topside facilities, field development planning, floating systems and subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines.

The work will be conducted at the shallow-water Ayatsil, Tekel and Utsil fields, which produce extra heavy oil, as well as for the Exploratus, Kunah, Lakach, Piklis and Trion deepwater fields.

“Wood Group Mustang and Wood Group Kenny are the leaders in Gulf of Mexico facilities design and subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines, respectively.
