PwC is a multinational professional services network that operates globally under the name PwC. It provides audit, consulting and tax and legal services, primarily to corporate clients. PwC is present in more than 150 countries and active in a broad range of sectors, including financial services, industrial and manufacturing, consumer markets, technology and media, energy and utilities, and healthcare. Along with Deloitte, EY and KPMG, it is one of the Big Four global accounting firms.

PwC divides its activities into three broad areas:

  • Audit and assurance
  • Advisory
    Tax and legal

The assurance business provides actuarial, corporate reporting, forensics, financial audit and capital markets services. In addition, PwC also conducts internal audits and provides risk and sustainability assurance.

Advisory is the firm’s largest business by revenue. PwC provides consulting services on a broad range of matters including strategy, technology, HR and operations, as well as on a broad range of corporate transformations such as acquisitions, divestitures, IPOs and joint ventures.

PwC’s tax and legal practice advises on tax strategy, reporting and administration, as well as on international tax matters and indirect taxation. The firm’s professionals also provide support on governance and compliance matters, employment and retention, and in situations arising from M&A, asset divestments, international expansion, and commercial disputes.

Although PwC’s services are primarily geared towards corporations, the firm also works with smaller entrepreneurs, family businesses and private clients.
