HCML commences production at BD gasfield

HONG KONG, August 2, 2017 – CNOOC Limited reported the start of production at Indonesia’s BD gasfield on Tuesday.
Reaching water depths of around 55 metres, the field’s infrastructure includes an unmanned wellhead platform, an FBSO, and four wells. Two of the field’s wells are currently in production.
The initial production levels of the Madura Strait asset have been measured around 7,200 boepd, with output projected to climb to 25,500 boepd next year.
The field is operated by a consortium composed of Husky (40%), CNOOC Limited (40%) and Samudra Energy (20%) and called Husky-CNOOC Madura Limited (HCML).
